Job Summary:
We are growing, and we are search of an automotive service manager/service writer. The successful candidate must be a good trainer and be able to teach and motivate the service department. Service managers/service writers must have extensive practical experience in vehicle servicing and repairs, together with experience in supervising technicians and dealing with customers. Previous experience as a service adviser is preferred.

Job Duties:
  • Work in conjunction with Store Manager to creates work schedules and maintains proper accounting of Service Technicians' productivity
  • Serves as a liaison between customers and auto technicians
  • Evaluate customer’s needs and recommend products and services based on the specific needs and interests of the customer. Assess potential issues thoroughly.
  • Follow each customer ticket through to completion.
  • Providing Outstanding Customer Service to every customer.
  • Use problem solving skills to address customer concerns and/or issues.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Take accountability for the presentation of the property including outside the store, in the store, shop and restrooms. Keep all areas organized, free of clutter, clean and presentable at all times.
  • Oversees maintenance of customer service records in computer system
  • Fills out paperwork fully and accurately following company policy and procedures.
  • Make customer calls daily to increase sales opportunities.
  • Motivate colleagues to perform to their highest potential.
  • Assist in the shop as necessary.
  • Ensures that equipment is properly maintained and repaired
  • Provides helpful, friendly and responsive customer service
  • In conjunction with Store Manager oversees Employee training and development
  • Provides resolutions of customer complaints
  • Attends meetings and has the ability to communicate, if necessary, with all levels of  Discount Tire & Automotive employees


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year of previous tire and automotive management experience
  • Problem-solver who meets service and sales objectives
  • Strong knowledge of policy and procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Supervisory experience in a service position
  • Understands the basics of business management
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills
  • Valid Driver's License with good driving record
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
